Lisa + Tom | Married

Lisa and Tom were married on August 13, 2016 in Plainwell, Michigan. I met these two last November when they were planning their wedding, after being referred to me from my own wedding photog Justine. They brought their little boy Jace along to our meeting, and our meeting was great! Lisa spoke about their details and wedding colors, which were yellow and gray ((LOVE)), and how it was going to be an elegant wedding. I loved that they had a photobooth during their reception for guests to use, and they also TIED A KNOT - literally. During their ceremony, they tied a fisherman's knot that is very hard to untie. I loved the symbol of their love like that!

These two had such a care free wedding day, which was so nice for me! I love when things just work out and go according to plan!! :D

Charissa + Billy | Married

Oh my goodness.... what to say about this GORGEOUS August wedding? A little background story -- Billy is my second cousin. I remember going over to his house with his siblings and swimming in their pool and my uncle Mark always throwing us in the air, and being so active. I always had a great time at the Meyering's house. As we grew up, I didn't see them as much as I used to but always loved hearing how their families were doing.

Last fall, Billy and Charissa got engaged while on a golf trip and we met up to chat about their wedding and they were looking for a photographer! I remember asking Charissa if they were interested in looking at other photographers -- just to keep her options open, not knowing what they were looking for - and she said "Nope, you're it." And that made me feel SO good!!

We took engagement photos at Stonewater Country Club in Grand Rapids, on Halloween last fall, on a beautiful summer day!

And just like that day, their August 6th wedding was a beautiful day as well - the perfect summer wedding day - a sunny, warm day with a nice breeze -- can't ask for anything better!
