Welcome!

Welcome to my new blog! I recently went through here and decided it was time for a change on here! I'm not the best blogger when it comes to my photography, but that is going to change! IT'S 2015,  I should be able to figure out this blogging thing by now, eh? So, here it goes.

Where do we start? I guess I can explain a little 'about me' and why I have this silly little blog. I'm Tracy Kortman, and I'm twenty-four years old. I am married to my high school sweet-heart, Greg, who is a graduate student studying at the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana. We both grew up in a small town on the west side of Michigan (Grand Rapids). We both enjoyed sports in highschool, we love to make each other laugh, we love our two dogs (Lucy, and Mikey), and we bought a house in 2013, a year after we got married! We are God followers, and I strive to make that a part of my everyday life, as well as my business.

When I thought about my life and what I wanted to be doing when I grew up, I always wanted to work in an small office: maybe dentist, doctor, a school.. something secretarial. So I went to college for two years, studying business and graduated. In 2014, I received my job that I'm doing now, working in a dental office during the week; BUT always had a passion for photography- loved going out with my friends to take pictures, take pictures of flowers, barns, the clouds - you name it, I probably took a picture of it. And that really started my love for photography.

I took two classes in college to learn about my camera, and film photography. I then started getting inquiries about if I'd to family photography for a friend, a graduating senior, and BOOM. I thought, heck, LETS start a business! Little did I know how challenging it was!

But, since 2011, I've really been trying to make this business and passion of mine grow. I've learned a lot, and taught myself a lot. It has been such a wild ride, and I can't wait to see where the Lord will take this business!
